The Comant CI-119 is a VHF Communications antenna designed to operate within the 118 to 137 MHz frequency range. It is ideal for large single or twin-engine aircraft. The antenna assembly is enclosed in an aerodynamically shaped, injection-molded polyester glass shell with internal components foamed in place for mechanical integrity. It features a reduced height, making it suitable for mounting on the underside of an aircraft.
This antenna has been re-tested and upgraded to the new RTCA DO-160D environmental requirements and offers the 118 to 137 MHz frequency associated with DO-186A MOPS. The CI-119 has a maximum VSWR of 2.5:1, a vertical polarization, and an omnidirectional radiation pattern. It has an impedance of 50 Ohms and a power of 25 Watts.
The CI 119 weighs a maximum of 1.25 lb and has a maximum height of 13.0 inches. The material is Valoz 420 with a white polyurethane enamel finish. The connector is BNC, and it has a C12704 Cork Neoprene gasket.
