It’s a passive tri-frequency rod antenna made of fiberglass, suited for aircraft operating at speeds up to 350 knots. This antenna adheres to the DO-160G, Section 8, Category U standards for vibration resilience and is approved for use on helicopters, irrespective of their rotor frequencies.
